One of my favorite things to do when the world gets crazy around me (especially like it tends to this time of year) is to take a step back and spend some time with my family outside of the home. A great brunch spot is always a good go to for me. It’s not crazy like dinner time and if you go somewhere with a nice patio that has games and other entertainment you can really turn it into more than just a meal. It is so nice to focus on play and enjoy the quality time with your family while someone else does the stressful job cooking and cleaning.
We tried out TLC, a new place to us, last weekend and LOVED it. The menu had something for everyone and the food was nothing short of fantastic. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed our meal and then played a little corn hole. They also have one of those giant Jenga sets that are really fun to play! It’s really a perfect spot, whether you’re on a date with the hubby or taking the whole family.
My absolute favorite thing I tried on the menu was the bacon flight. The candied bacon was to die for. You’re probably thinking candy and bacon? How can it not be amazing?! Somehow TLC managed to blow my bacon expectations out of the water! We had so much fun together and getting a little breather from the “real world” gorging ourselves on brunch and just hanging out together. Sometimes that’s all you need to recharge! I once had someone tell me that quality time happens when you get together with your family and spend time doing something you all love, or at least something nobody hates. 99% of the time a good brunch fits this formula, and I am all for it!
