Meet Larissa - Greater Austin Moms

Larissa Paap recently made a career move which allows her to be a work at home mom with freedom to take her daughter to dance class or go for a walk, and serve others with her expertise in their home buying journey. Read on for more about her family, her business and what she loves about living in Austin…

Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?

From Midland, TX. I’ve been in Austin since 2005 after I graduated from SWT/Texas State.

Child(ren) and Age(s)?

Parker, a little girl that is 4

Hayden, a little boy that is 2.5

Riley, a little girl that just turned 1

One thing people would be surprised to know about you…

That I’ve been the Fantasy Football champion twice.

What is your favorite thing about living here?

So many things! The people and vibe of the city, the beautiful scenery, the endless amounts of things to do/see/experience, the FOOD, and how almost everywhere you go is kid friendly and has a patio.

What do you love to do with your family around town?

We love exploring and finding new restaurants, parks, and events that the kids have never experienced. Trail of Lights, North Pole Flyer, Art of Ice Cream Experience and The Thinkery are some of the more recent events we’ve tried.

Tell us about your business and how it came to be, what you love about it, what makes it unique, what

your goal is, etc…

I’ve been a Realtor for about 2.5 years. I worked for a real estate company in high school, got a degree in finance and then worked for a financial firm for 11 years working with retirement plans prior to making the decision to start a new career. I wanted the flexibility to enjoy my kids and also get the chance to build my own business and help others. I love being able to help my clients with one of the biggest financial and personal decisions of their lives. Selling your house, moving, buying a new house, relocating, investing, etc can be a super stressful and intense time, but also exciting. I aim to help make the process seamless and less stressful so that my clients can focus on the excitement that comes with new beginnings.

Are you involved in anything else within the community?

Most of our involvement is with the activities we do with our kids. A few of the things we’ve been involved with recently is Premiere Dance, MOPs Austin Oaks, Dripping Springs Youth Sports Association. Local library story times and TuneBugz.

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?

Everyone I meet, from clients to other moms to new business partners, is so supportive, encouraging, and real. I’m also lucky to have a great group of friends and family in the area that help me thrive and give me the confidence and energy to follow my dreams.
