Curtis, Lemi Shine moved to Austin in 2014, where are you from originally and how long have you lived here?
I was born and raised in the cotton fields of West Texas, Garden City, to be specific. I have been an Austin resident for over 6 years and loved every minute of it.
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you…
This one will shock most people.…I love to sing and dance with my kids….like everyday.
Sounds like great exercise to me, and way more fun than other options! What do you love to do with your family around town?
While we love the green belt, the river/creeks, all the restaurants, there’s one big annual event we really enjoy, the Barton Springs Polar Bear Plunge on New Years Day.
I’ve asked that question so many times, and you are definitely the first person with that response. Makes me cold just thinking about it, but you and my husband would really hit it off!
I got to hear about Lemi Shine’s humble beginnings at a blogger event in June. It was inspiring to see how your vision and an incredible team of people have grown the company ten-fold with families like mine in mind. What motivates you and makes Lemi Shine so unique?
Lemi Shine exists to provide homes across the US with Powerful, Safe and Affordable household cleaners. We believe as a family that this is the common good for the common man. It’s our gift to our fellow brothers and sisters to give them products that work, are better for them and their families and pets without costing them any more than what they’re already used to paying. It is our goal to continue to create great products for homes across the US and eventually the globe.
Are there any exciting products in the works? I’m dying to know if there will be a laundry stain remover one day!
We actually have a Laundry Booster that is a phenomenal stain remover. Our team is incubating several new products for years to come across all areas of the house. Stay tuned!
