Toddler Art Play Group

An event every week that begins at 10:00 AM on Tuesday and Thursday, repeating indefinitely
Tuesdays & Thursdays • 10AM to 11AM
Due to COVID-19, we are limiting the size of our Toddler Play Group. You MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE and when you arrive, check in at the front desk to take your temperature. The class is held outside weather permitting. All adults must wear face coverings.

Designed for toddlers, but all ages welcome!
Figment’s weekly Toddler Art Play Group classes are a fantastic way to help your little ones explore and play in a safe, developmentally appropriate environment.
Ms. Amber is a pro at setting up a variety of delightful sensory and fine-motor-skill stations in our designated Toddler Play Group area. Toddlers are encouraged to explore the activities at their own pace, building confidence in themselves and in their environment. Group time usually closes with a visit to feed our friendly chickens and goats.
Parking: Our parking lot and main entrance are located just off Brodie Lane on Elija Street. Please enter through the nearby gate and stop by the main office to check in prior to Play Group.
This class focuses on process art and play-based learning.
Process Art
We believe the process of making art is more important than the outcome. Adults are there to guide children by providing the right materials, teaching technique and assisting along the way. When children take charge of their own creative process, they practice critical thinking, make their own decisions and build confidence.
Play-Based Learning
Part of our child-directed philosophy is play-based learning. Play is the basis of experimental learning. We offer a multitude of sensory and art-based activities to help develop your little one’s fine motor skills and confidence.
About the Instructor
Figment owner and founder Amber Scardino began teaching process art classes seven years ago. These classes, held in her garage studio under the name Wee Warhols, were a natural extension of the art explorations she’d been leading for her young sons. Amber is also a co-author of the book series STEAM Kids.
